The Enzoic Client displays:
Password policies configured in Enzoic for Active Directory (e.g., compromised, common password checks, and dictionary restrictions).
Windows password policies, whether applied through:
Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Fine-Grained Password Policies (FGPPs)
This ensures users see all requirements in one place when changing a password.
Example:
Below, Enzoic policies (compromised password checks, restrictions) appear alongside Windows complexity rules (e.g., “contain at least 3 of the following”):
Key Points:
Windows complexity rules are enforced by Active Directory. If a password fails a Windows policy, the user will see the standard Windows rejection message.
Enzoic policies are checked in addition to Windows rules.
Many organizations disable Windows complexity and use Enzoic policies only.
Enzoic does not provide a “3 of 4” rule; complexity is configured per requirement (uppercase, lowercase, numeric, special).
By displaying both Windows FGPP and Enzoic policies in one place, the Enzoic Client helps reduce confusion for end users and supports stronger password hygiene across the organization.
