Customers using Windows Installer Coordinator may encounter a known issue between Embedded MSI technology and the Windows Installer Coordinator that prevents the installation process from completing.


This problem exhibits as a dialog displaying the  message: "Please wait while the application is preparing for the first use." The window may get stuck or appear repeatedly. 


Group policy changes may require access by a domain administrator.


To disable this policy, follow the steps below:


Open the Windows Start button and search for gpedit.msc.


Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Application Compatibility.


In the right pane, choose Turn off Windows Installer RDS Compatibility.


Choose Edit from the drop-down menu.


Click the Enable radio button.


Click OK. 


Repeat the installation process.
